How results work
Clear formulas, visible assumptions, useful estimates
Calcul8 calculators are built to show the result, the inputs behind it, and the assumptions that can change the answer. They are practical estimates, not a substitute for professional advice.
Formulas and factors
Calculator pages keep formulas, units, and key assumptions close to the result where possible. Unit converters use fixed conversion factors from the site data files unless a page states otherwise.
Rounding
Results are rounded for readability. If a calculator needs a specific precision, the result detail or explanatory content should say so.
Manual data entry
Some calculators rely on values entered by you, such as energy tariffs, prices, or usage estimates. Currency conversion pages may load daily indicative reference rates, but you can still overwrite the rate manually when you have a bank, broker, card, or travel-money quote.
Limits and review
Important decisions can depend on context the calculator cannot know. Calcul8 checks new calculators for metadata, explanatory content, input validation, and normal and edge-case test coverage, but you should still verify important results independently.
