Use this calculator to estimate image generation cost from image count, variants, rerolls, and per-image pricing.

How It Works

The calculator uses:

  • Billable images = requested images x variants per image x (1 + retry rate)
  • Total cost = billable images x price per image
  • Cost per requested image = total cost / requested image count

Variants And Rerolls

Variants are deliberate extra outputs for each requested image. Rerolls cover failed generations, rejected outputs, quality-control replacements, and creative retries.

Pricing Presets

Some image providers publish prices as per-image values, while others publish token rates or interactive estimates based on quality, size, and modality. V1 includes only static presets that can be represented clearly as a per-image price, plus a custom price field.

Limitations

This estimate excludes prompt text tokens, image input charges, editing, upscaling, storage, taxes, regional uplifts, free tiers, and account-specific discounts unless you include them in a custom per-image price.

What does reroll rate mean?

Reroll rate adds extra generated images for failed outputs, creative retries, rejected variants, or quality-control replacement images.
